North Korea 'burning with hatred' for US after stealth bomber missions

"How can we pardon the Yankees who hatched even a sinister plot to defame the supreme dignity, which we regard dearer than our own lives, not content with staging madcap nuclear war drills?" Cha Ok Chol, a Korean People's Army officer said according to the Korean Central News Agency.

An editorial put out by the KCNA described "hideous politically-motivated terrorism of the US and the South Korean puppet forces targeting the dignified social system in the DPRK".

North Korea also stated on Thursday it planned to "sweep away" America's Andersen Air Force Base on Guam, according to KCNA.

Earlier on Thursday, US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel told his South Korean counterpart that Seoul could rely on all the military protection the United States has to offer – nuclear, conventional and missile defence.

US sends nuclear-capable B-2 bombers to South Korea in show of force

SEOUL, South Korea — The U.S military says two nuclear-capable B-2 bombers have completed a training mission in South Korea amid threats from North Korea that include nuclear strikes on Washington and Seoul.

The statement Thursday by U.S. Forces Korea is an unusual confirmation. It follows an earlier U.S. announcement that nuclear-capable B-52 bombers participated in ongoing U.S.-South Korean military drills.

The U.S. says the B-2 stealth bombers flew from a U.S. air base and dropped munitions on a South Korean island range before returning home. The announcement will likely draw a strong response from Pyongyang. North Korea sees the military drills as part of a U.S. plot to invade and becomes particularly upset about U.S. nuclear activities in the region.

Washington and Seoul say they the annual drills are routine and defensive.

What if I told you that I knocked out Mike Tyson when he was in his prime or that when Jordan was in his prime I crossed him up and then dunked in his face; most of you would say "maaan" get the hell out of here with that nonsense!! Still more of you would want some type of proof that I actually did the things that I say I did! And that's perfectly understandable!! So why can't we apply that same standard to Republicans when they talk about the debt, deficits and the economy! 

The two worst economic upheavals in US history happened under Republican presidents; "The Great Depression" under Hoover and the "Great Recession" under Bush! In both cases it took a Democratic president to come in and clean up the mess left behind! Ronald Reagan by the time he was finished had tripled the national debt and Bush squandered a budget surplus and doubled the national debt from 5 to 10 trillion dollars! 

The GOP has absolutely NO CREDIBILITY when it comes to the economy or fiscal responsibility! Where is the proof to the contrary!!?? In fact, there's a ton of proof not including what I've already given you to support the exact opposite position; and that is the GOP doesn't know what they're talking about!! That's why it amazes me whenever I see a repub congressman or senator on CNN or FOX news trying to lecture the president on the economy or fiscal responsibility! It's really laughable when you think about it! All of sudden teabaggers and the GOP are deficit hawks and experts on how to fix the economy! I expect that one of the conservative arguments will be that president Obama has spent so much more money than Bush and that's why they're so alarmed now! For the sake of argument let's say that's true; it's not, but let's pretend that it's factual! Guess who was the biggest spender of all time prior to Obama?? You guessed it, Bush! Bush burned through money quicker than any president before him and accumulated at the time record debt and deficits! So if being the biggest spender of all time was the tipping point, where was all that GOP outrage during the Bush years!!?? Where was the teabagger rallies!!?? Bush was the biggest spender up until Obama if we are to believe what the GOP has been telling us! And for the record President Obama has actually reduced the annual federal deficit by billions of dollars! Trust me when I say you'll never hear that on FOX News! 

The economy is slowly recovering and if we want to keep momentum and accelerate job creation; the very last thing we need to be doing is listening to the folks who have no track record (proof) whatsoever to support their claim that they're the party of fiscal responsibility and economic growth and whose policies wrecked the economy in the first place!!

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was the target of a recent assassination attempt, says South Korean intelligence.

The Telegraph reports that the alleged murder plot may have been the work of a faction loyal to Kim Yong-chol, a four-star general who was demoted last year to two stars before being restored to his previous rank and rehabilitated. While reports on the exact timing of the attack are sketchy, rumors of an exchange of gunfire in Pyongyang last November may be related to this incident.

North Korea amplified its threatening rhetoric as the U.N. Security Council approved new sweeping sanctions, vowing to launch a first-strike nuclear attack against the United States and threatening to engulf Washington in a "sea of fire."

An unidentified spokesman for Pyongyang's Foreign Ministry said the North will exercise its right for "a preemptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors" because Washington is pushing to start a nuclear war against the North.

At a mass rally in Pyongyang on Thursday, Army Gen. Kang Pyo Yong told the crowd that North Korea is ready to fire long-range nuclear-armed missiles at Washington.

"Intercontinental ballistic missiles and various other missiles, which have already set their striking targets, are now armed with lighter, smaller and diversified nuclear warheads and are placed on a standby status," Kang said. "When we shell (the missiles), Washington, which is the stronghold of evils, .... will be engulfed in a sea of fire."

White House spokesman Jay Carney said at a briefing that the U.S. is fully capable of defending itself after a North Korean missile attack.

Even if the Obama administration totally eradicates the deficit, the debt will still be there, but it won’t be growing. Right now, historically unprecedented deficit reduction is doing its job, keeping the growth of the Bush debt in check.

The bottom line is the deficit is in sharp decline. The sequester monster has little to do with the deficit or even the debt. And it’s not even really about taxes. That’s a smokescreen. The sequester, and all of the related fiscal “crises,” are really all about sabotaging our government’s ability to function and creating opportunities for private/corporate corruption and pillage.
