Sarah Palin’s passionate speech about her poor drunken woman beating son and the way Obama PTSDed him during his combat tour in Iraq has been scrutinized by everyone from the White House to a soldier he served with. Politicizing PTSD was a shameful thing to do; her son’s status as a combat veteran had nothing to do with President Obama.

Now there’s an even bigger reason to mock and criticize Palin: She a liar. Her son, Track, never saw combat in Iraq. Whether he was unqualified or received special treatment or just wasn’t assigned to a combat role isn’t clear, but one thing certainly is: It wasn’t PTSD from combat that “hardened” Track Palin into the gun-toting asshole that hits women, it was bad parenting, plain and simple.

Right wingers constantly blather that O'Bama is Apologizing For America™, as it is a bad thing to own up for the stupid things we sometimes do. The rest of the world knows that we have done stupid things in the past, such as invading Iraq, a Nation that did nothing to us, and the world appreciates a President who owns up. Such acknowledgements improve our standing in the world. That's probably why GWB himself engaged in Apologizing For America™...

To hear conservatives, including those in the Republican presidential race, tell it, President Obama made America look weak by talking to Iran in order to get 10 detained U.S. sailors, rather than, say, immediately ordering carpet bombing of Tehran. Some right-wing media outlets were even more despondent. Breitbart, America’s preeminent dumping ground of right-wing hysteria, devoted several articles to framing the incident as a humiliation for Obama.

However, as much as conservatives would love to have this story be about Obama’s weakness, the facts simply do not support that conclusion.

There are just two problems with this narrative: First, the Obama administration never apologized to Iran. And secondly, back in 2001, George W. Bush absolutely did apologize to another of America’s economic foes, China, when he was faced with a similar situation. Nobody thought offering an apology was a sign of America’s crumbling power when Bush did so.

Do you know that Oklahoma is having unprecedented numbers of earthquakes? Do you know why? Do you know that the Cascade Subduction Zone is overdue to crack, with the potential of killing a million or more Americans in the Northwest, and that there is no place to escape the probable tsunami waves resulting from a cat 9 earthquake there? If you were watching AJA, you'd know this stuff and more, as well as what is going on in the rest of the world. Many politicians are happy tonight that Americans will continue to live in "ignernce". Fear rather than knowledge keeps them in power.

The Hill reported that the mic was experiencing pops while he was speaking, and that the sound system cut out completely for those sitting in the nosebleed section of the rally.

“And by the way I don’t like this mic, whoever the hell brought this mic system, don’t pay the son of a bitch who brought it in,” said Trump through visible annoyance and several pops. “This mic is terrible, stupid mic keeps popping… Don’t pay him. You know I believe in paying but when somebody does a bad job like this you shouldn’t pay the bastard. Terrible! Terrible!”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) will speak at a church headed by a self-proclaimed prophet who prayed for a military coup to remove Obama and claimed credit for the California drought.

The Republican presidential candidate will address “National Security Forum” this weekend at Rick Joyner’s MorningStar Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina, reported Right Wing Watch.

The event is officially hosted by the South Carolina chapter of Americans for Peace Prosperity and Security — a newly formed pro-war group headed by former government officials with ties to military contractors.
