Putin's War in Crimea Could Soon Spread to Eastern Ukraine And nobody—not the U.S., not NATO—can stop him

It's O'Bama's Fault™? Don't be lame. It goes much, much deeper than that. It's Russia being historically Russian. For that matter, this shit's been going on in Europe since there was a Europe. And nobody in the world can do anything about it. Unless you really, really, really want a war with nuclear-armed Russia.

Vladimir Putin has asked the Federation Council—the upper chamber of Russia's dummy parliament—to authorize the use of force not just in Crimea, but "on Ukraine's territory until the socio-political situation is normalized." And though American spiesand the Washington Post categorically ruled this out just days ago, this was not entirely unexpected. The situation is changing rapidly, but here are some initial thoughts.

Moar here.

Me: Every other nation ban together, fight a war that costs millions of lives, and you might stop this situation, if any of the combatants remain alive, that is.

Mr. Reader: Be level headed Mr Obama. Whatever you do or don't do somehow you will be blamed. Be sane!
